StarCraft Underground League — Competitive Ruleset
The league aims to establish a team-based competitive environment emphasizing:
- Long-term roster development and team identity
- Team economy management
- Professional conduct with reliable match execution
This is not a coaching league; teams maximize winning chances throughout their franchise existence. All participants compete to win while maintaining league standards.
Players, captains, and staff must act professionally. Prohibited behavior includes harassment, match fixing, rule exploitation, and admin disputes. Admins may issue warnings, economic penalties, forfeits, or removal.
Players must compete earnestly. Smurfing and account sharing are forbidden.
Each team designates one Primary Captain responsible for:
- Draft bidding
- Lineup submission
- Trades
- Match completion
- Team culture
SCU Bucks are the league currency that funds player drafts, trades, and events.
- Bracket performance
- Seasonal placement
- Community participation
All balances are publicly tracked with a $1,200 cap.
Teams use a Captain-Controlled Simultaneous Blind Bid Draft.
- The lowest-seeded team begins with the blind
- Draft order moves in reverse seeding
- Teams secretly submit bids
- Highest bidder wins the player
- Trades occur during official windows between teams in good standing
- Equal Player Value compensation is required
- Admin approval is necessary for all trades
- Lineups must be submitted by the weekly deadline
- Replays are required for all matches
The league prioritizes consistency. Possible penalties include:
- SCU Buck fines
- Match losses
- Draft restrictions
- Suspensions
Contracts introduced in Season 2.
Players notifying captains can re-enter the Free Agent Pool with a 2-week fielding restriction.
